Litelok Armours the Bike Lock as Theft Gets Bolder

British brand Litelok has turned the humble bike lock into an arms race. Its X range is built with Barronium, a ceramic composite armour designed to resist angle grinders — the tool thieves increasingly reach for. Litelok says it gives up to 20 times more resistance than leading D-locks, and the brand has pushed the category with public angle-grinder demos and its X1 lock.

The escalation says as much about the moment as the product. As theft grows bolder and power tools get cheaper, security stops being a quiet accessory and becomes a visible promise — heavier, harder, openly built to withstand attack. People are increasingly paying for the feeling of safety as much as for the steel itself.

So…:

Where could a visible promise of security reassure your customers in an uncertain world?
