Starlink Wi-Fi Now Taking Off with SAS Flights

SAS is introducing Starlink internet across its fleet, bringing stable, high-speed connectivity to air travel. The system, developed by SpaceX, uses low-orbit satellites to deliver over 400 Mbps and around 25 ms latency.

A test flight featured streaming, gaming, and a live Counter-Strike match by Astralis, proving the connection’s reliability. SAS expects 60 planes to be equipped by summer 2026, with free passenger access. The flight also used 50% sustainable aviation fuel, highlighting SAS’ green ambitions.
