Snapchat is expanding its Arrival Notifications on Snap Map, building on the Home Safe feature already used by more than one million people. Launched ahead of Safer Internet Day, the update allows users to set one-time or recurring alerts for destinations beyond home.
Notifications can be customised for places such as classes, meetings or travel stays, automatically informing selected friends upon arrival. Location sharing remains off by default and alerts are only sent to trusted contacts. One-time notifications expire after delivery or within 24 hours. Snap Map reaches more than 400 million monthly users worldwide.
