Tokyo Metro Turns a Subway Line Into Pokémon’s Ditto

For two weeks in March, Tokyo Metro turned its Hanzomon Line into Pokémon. To launch the new Switch game Pokémon Pokopia, the line was wrapped — trains, seats, handrails and platforms at Shibuya and beyond — in the pink-and-purple shape-shifter Ditto. The pun is the point: Ditto’s Japanese name, Metamon, echoes Hanzomon, so the transforming Pokémon literally transforms the commute.

It is everyday infrastructure turned into an experience. Rather than buy a billboard, the brand took over the thing people already move through every day, making a dull commute briefly delightful — and impossible not to photograph and share. The space itself becomes the ad.

So…:

Which ordinary, everyday space could you transform into an experience worth sharing?
