India Offers 21 Years of Tax-Free Cloud Profits – If Data Stays Local

India will offer foreign cloud providers zero tax on revenue from services sold abroad – until 2047 – if the data is processed through Indian data centers. The initiative, announced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, aims to attract large-scale AI investment and position India as a global data hub. Tech giants like Google, Microsoft and Amazon have pledged over $67 billion.
