In Ringsted, 17 students have enrolled in Denmark’s first defence and emergency preparedness course at FGU Midt- og Østsjælland. The programme blends physical training, first aid and team exercises to prepare students for possible careers in the military or emergency services. With rising political focus and growing youth interest, the course aims to develop direction, life skills, and job readiness. The training is led by an experienced instructor with a background in both the military and police.
More schools are expected to launch similar programmes in the future.
