More than 350 socially vulnerable Danes will receive free eye tests and glasses on World Sight Day. The initiative, organised by Blue Cross Denmark and Louis Nielsen Opticians, aims to give people without financial means access to essential vision care and new glasses.
The project takes place in Louis Nielsen stores nationwide, where opticians and volunteers offer their time and expertise free of charge. Supported by Blue Cross’ social centres, the effort highlights how impaired vision can worsen social exclusion – and how care and collaboration can change lives.
