Around 1,000 runners lit up the snow-covered streets of Copenhagen during the Light Run at the 2026 Copenhagen Light Festival. Dressed in glowing costumes, they moved through more than 45 light installations across the Danish capital. Two route options—7.5 km and 3 km—welcomed both experienced and recreational runners.
Held for the ninth time, the event is described as the world’s only recurring art light run. It combines sport, public space and contemporary light art. Next year, the 10th edition will introduce elite timing alongside the social format.
