From 2026, glass containers and cheap disposable pavilions will be banned from the Roskilde Festival camping areas. The decision follows a growing waste problem—over 1,600 tonnes in 2025, with glass posing safety risks and low-quality pavilions often abandoned after breaking. Festival-goers may still bring their own food and drinks, just not in glass.
Durable foldable or scissor pavilions remain allowed, as long as they’re taken home afterward. Rental options will also be available. The changes aim to protect the environment and enhance the community experience.
