Singapore’s Changi Airport has been ranked the best-connected airport worldwide in 2025, according to OAG’s Global Airport Connectivity Index. The hub leads due to extensive international flight options and efficient transfer links, surpassing traditional leaders in Europe and North America. London Heathrow and Amsterdam Schiphol followed closely, reflecting their roles as key transit points.
The index assessed more than 4,000 airports, analysing scheduled connections within a six-hour window. Results highlight growing dominance of Asia in global air travel.
The index takes several factors into account, including among others the following key aspects:
- Number of reachable routes.
- Efficiency of transfers within six hours.
- How well flight schedules connect.
