New In-Flight Medical Training Simulates Real Emergencies

Edinburgh Airport hosted a unique medical training session where 16 final-year students from the University of St Andrews and Dundee University took part in realistic in-flight emergency simulations. Organised by NHS Fife, the training was described by organisers as a “landmark” event and is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK. With support from Jet2 cabin crew and the airport’s fire service, students responded to mock medical incidents in real aircraft and airport settings, aiming to build clinical confidence in situations far from hospital resources.

Plans are underway to expand the concept further.

So…:

How can you live-train your staff to get the most out of the training?
