Airbnb tests grocery pre-orders via Instacart before guest arrivals

Airbnb is piloting a new feature allowing guests to pre-order groceries through Instacart up to three weeks ahead of their stay. Hosts are paid $25 per completed order if they put the groceries away before guest arrival.

The test launches January 5 in cities like Phoenix, Orlando and Los Angeles and will run for three months. While guests can already shop for groceries during a stay, this new option adds convenience for events or holidays by ensuring food is ready beforehand.

This move follows Airbnb’s recent integrations like EV charger discounts with ChargePoint.
