A new study from the Centre for Alcohol and Drug Research shows a decline in alcohol and cannabis use among Danish men aged 15–25. Since 2014, the share of young men who’ve tried cannabis has dropped from 51% to 35.6%. Fewer also drink alcohol, while cigarette smoking has fallen sharply.
In its place, more now use puff bars and nicotine pouches. Experts link the trend to rising health awareness, lower risk-taking, and changing social norms, where sobriety and moderation are more accepted.
