Hermès has opened its largest London store at 166 New Bond Street, and the scale is the point. The Maison joins six Grade II-listed Georgian buildings into 2,000 square metres across five floors, with 55 individually designed rooms, four lifts, two roof terraces, a café and more than 500 commissioned artworks. It opened on 16 June 2026.
In an age when most shopping has moved to a screen, the most exclusive house is betting on place. The store is built less as a point of sale than as a destination — somewhere to wander, look and stay. Physical presence, slowed down and turned into architecture, becomes the luxury a phone cannot copy.
So…: Where could a slower, physical place do for you what a screen cannot?
