Two graduates of Erhvervsakademi København, Markus and Emil, have built a company, Høgh & Lange, around a single product: the legless ‘Samu’ chair, designed to make it easy for adults to get down to a child’s height. The art museum ARKEN ordered a stack for its shop on sight, and a grant from Innovation Fund Denmark now lets the pair work on the business full-time. They developed the idea through their production-technologist programme and the academy’s Startup Hub — from market analysis to sales.
What is interesting is the problem they chose. Not a gap spotted in a market report, but a physical, everyday friction — the distance between an adult’s eye line and a child’s — turned into an object.
