Living longer is being treated as civic infrastructure, on a par with finance or tourism.
It is worth holding the claim at arm’s length. A Dubai survey of the sector found most longevity clinics lead with marketing rather than science, and doctors in the field warn that anecdote and placebo can stand in for proof. The sign here is less about any one treatment than about a city deciding that longevity is a thing you can build an industry — and a brand — around.
