When her son called their Christmas elf a “crappy elf” who gave “baby gifts,” Lene Vester-Elbæk had enough. After rejecting a Paw Patrol figure, the elf “Kvist” was sent back to the forest. The parents left a letter saying he didn’t feel welcome and had packed his things.
In this home, elf visits are also about teaching values. Bad behaviour can mean a potato in the stocking. After a heartfelt apology and a bowl of rice pudding, the elf returned – this time without gifts.
