China’s Panda Breeding Center Bans 12 Tourists for Life

China’s Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding has banned 12 tourists for life due to inappropriate behavior around the pandas. These visitors, aged between 26 and 61, were caught throwing items like bamboo shoots, lollipop sticks, and cigarettes into the panda enclosure, according to a WeChat post by the Research Base.

Although the pandas are reported to be healthy, the base has strict rules to protect them. Violations can result in penalties ranging from criticism to lifetime bans. The center aims to be a world-class facility for panda conservation and research.
